Construction Octoplus 100 Piece Set

This hard plastic construction kit contains 100 identically shaped pieces in a range of vibrant colours. The eight spoke cog design allows for the pieces to be connected in a range of orientations. The pieces link together easily to make a variety of structures and comes with a picture card for inspiration.

How does this resource support the curriculum?

EYFS

Expressive Arts and Design – Children learn to construct in a variety of ways to represent objects, characters and experiences. Children match colours together and use colours for a purpose.

Physical Development – Children may improve their motor skills and learn to manipulate resources with increasing control. Children may practise balancing and stacking objects of different shapes.

Maths – Children may learn to recognise and describe shapes mathematically. Children may use shapes for a purpose to construct and make patterns. Children may begin to investigate length and height using towers created from this set.
